 The Greater Victoria School District #61 is looking to hire a Secretarial ClerkThis is a temporary position working 35 hours per week at Spectrum from November 12th, 2024- July 4th, 2025 or the return of the incumbent.

The Greater Victoria School District provides public educational services to over 20,000 students in the Greater Victoria area, encompassing six municipalities.  To provide this service, the District has a current operating budget of $210 million and employs approximately 3,500 staff which includes teachers, principals and vice-principals, support staff, psychologists, speech and language pathologists and exempt managerial staff.

The Secretarial Clerk provides a variety of clerical support services in a busy school office, including reception, word processing, student attendance and records management.

Education and Experience:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Completion of some office administration courses
  • Over 6 months recent office experience
  • Knowledge of office procedures
  • Knowledge of database management, word processing, spreadsheet and email applications
  • Must demonstrate competency by passing a related District test

This position falls within the CUPE 947 Collective Agreement at a pay rate of $25.42 per hour plus 13% in lieu of benefits. Monday-Friday 8:00am – 3:30pm For a detailed job description, please click here.
