Introduction
Welcome to the Greater Victoria School District No. 61, where each student within our world-class learning community has the opportunity to fulfill their potential and pursue their aspirations.
Located in the Capital Region of British Columbia with schools in the municipalities of Esquimalt, Oak Bay, Victoria, View Royal and a portion of Saanich and Highlands, we are proud to provide quality education for 20,000 students in 28 elementary schools (Kindergarten to Grade Five), 10 middle schools (grades six to eight), and seven secondary schools (grades nine to 12). Over 1,000 International Students from across the globe attend schools in our District, and each year, over 650 adult learners register in the Continuing Education Program.
Determining Your Catchment School
Each student looking to register in our District must first identify their school catchment, with the exception of Continuing Education and International students. Each address is associated with an elementary, middle and secondary school in our District that new students must register at. To determine which schools are associated with a home address, visit the School Locator Tool.
