School District Wi-Fi Information
This page provides information to end users about how to connect to the school district Wi-Fi network. The School District provides free Wi-Fi to all of it’s staff and students, as well as guests. Individual schools may restrict Wi-FI access to students.

How do I connect to the Wi-Fi Network?

iPad/iPod/iPhone: (Instructions may vary based on version)
- Start the “Settings” app and navigate to the “Wi-Fi” section.
- From the list of available wireless networks, tap “SD61”
- Enter your username and password and then tap “Join”
- Tap “Accept” on the certificate prompt.
- Your device should now connect to the wireless network.

Android: (Instruction may vary based on manufacturer and version)
- Start the “Settings” app and navigate to the “Wi-Fi” section.
- From the list of available wireless networks, tap “SD61”
- In the ‘EAP Method’ section, make user the value is ‘PEAP’
- In the ‘CA Certificate’ section, select ‘Don’t Validate’
- Type your username in the ‘Identity” field
- Type your password in the “Enter Password” field
- Leave the ‘Anonymous Identity’ field empty.
- Tap ‘Connect’

- From the list of wireless networks, click/tap “SD61”
- Click/Tap “Connect”
- Provide your username and password. Click “OK”
- Click/Tap “Connect”

Mac OS X: (Instruction may vary based on version)
- From the list of wireless networks, click “SD61”
- Enter your username and password. Click “Join”
- Click “Continue”.
- If requested, provide your Mac username and password.

Chromium / Chromebook: (Instruction may vary based on manufacturer and version)
- From the list of available wireless networks, tap “SD61”
- In the ‘EAP Method’ section, make user the value is ‘PEAP’
- In the “Server CA certificate” section, select “Do Not Check”
- Type your username in the ‘Identity” field
- Type your password in the “Enter Password” field
- Leave the ‘Anonymous Identity’ field empty.
- Click/tap “Connect”

Other:
- Follow your device manufacturer’s instructions to connected to a wireless network.
- Select the wireless network “SD61”
- Use the same username/password combination you use to logon to the computers to connect to the wireless network.

Notes:
- If you are a guest, please contact the school office to obtain a temporary guest username and password.
- In some circumstances, the device may need to be restarted to successfully connect to the SD61 wireless network.
How do I remove the School District’s Wi-Fi from my device?

- Start the “Settings” app and navigate to the “Wi-Fi” section.
- From the list of wireless networks, tap “SD61”
- Tap “Forget This Network”
- Tap “Forget”

- Start the “Settings” app and navigate to the “Wi-Fi” section.
- From the list of wireless networks, tap “SD61”.
- Tap “Forget”

- From ‘Settings’ page
- Click the ‘Wi-Fi network’ pull-down menu.
- Click ‘Preferred Networks…’
- Click the ‘X’ to the right of the ‘SD61’ item in the list
- Click ‘Done’

- From the list of available wireless networks in the bottom right hand corner, Right-Click on “SD61”
- click/tap “Forget”
Mac OS X: (Instruction may vary based on version)
- From the Wi-Fi menu, click “Open Network Preferences…”
- Click “Advanced…”
- Select “SD61” in the list of prefered networks and click the “-” button.
- Click “Ok”
- Click “Disconnect”
I’ve changed my School District password, and now my device won’t connect to the Wi-Fi.
- In most circumstances, the easiest solution is to remove the wireless configuration, and re-connect to the wireless network. Follow the instructions above.
