Registration: 3 Easy Steps
1. Is it the right time to register?
- Early French Immersion (Kindergarten & Grade 1)
- Registration opens at 8:00 am on January 13, 2025 and closes on January 17, 2025.
- English Kindergarten
- Registration opens at 8:00 am on January 27, 2025 and closes on January 31, 2025.
2. Do you know which school your child will attend based on your home address?
- Determining your catchment school is an easy and important step before you register.
- Each home address within our District is associated with an elementary, middle, and secondary school.
- Visit the School Locator Tool to determine both your English and French catchment schools.
- Note that your French Immersion catchment school may differ from your English catchment school depending on your residential address.
- French Immersion is offered at nine elementary schools.
3. Do you meet the requirements?
- School-age eligibility: the child you are registering is five years of age by December 31st of the school year. Your child’s eligibility is not based on their skillset, but is based on their age.
- Proof of citizenship: one of the following documents is required for your child:
- Birth Certificate
- Passport
- Immigration Canada document
- Certificate of Citizenship or Permanent Resident Card
- Proof of residential address: two different documents are required that provide proof of address.

- No prior knowledge of French is expected or required.
