We are excited you are interested in registering your Grade 6 child for Late French Immersion in one of our four dual-track middle schools. Please read the details in full on this page. We are here to support you and make your next school transition smooth and fun!

 

Registration: 3 Easy Steps

1. Is it the right time to register?

  • Online registration for Late French Immersion (Grade 6) opens at 8:00 am on January 27, 2025 and closes on January 31, 2025.

2. Do you know which school your child will attend based on your home address?

  • Determining your catchment school is an easy and important step before you register.
  • Each home address within our District is associated with an elementary, middle, and secondary school.
  • Visit the School Locator Tool to determine both your English and French catchment schools.
  • Note that your French Immersion catchment school may differ from your English catchment school depending on your residential address.
  • French Immersion is offered at four of our ten middle schools: Arbutus, Central, Lansdowne, and Shoreline.

3. Do you meet the requirements?

  • Your child is entering Grade 6
  • Proof of citizenship: one of the following documents is required for your child:
    • Birth Certificate
    • Passport
    • Immigration Canada document
    • Certificate of Citizenship or Permanent Resident Card
  • Proof of residential address: two different documents are required that provide proof of address.
