SEASONAL GROUNDSKEEPER – STUDENTS
(TEMPORARY)
The Greater Victoria School District provides public educational services to over 20,000 students in the Greater Victoria Area, encompassing six municipalities. To provide this service, the District has a current operating budget of $208 million and employs approximately 3,500 staff; which includes, teachers, administrators, support staff, psychologists, speech and language pathologists and exempt managerial staff.
The Seasonal Groundskeeper is described in Article 1.11 of the collective agreement and defines the role for those people who are enrolled full time in a post-secondary institution and working for the District between April 3rd and September 29th.
The successful candidate must:
- Be enrolled in a full time post-secondary institution and provide supporting documentation
- Present a drivers abstract to accompany application
- Have experience in the operation and maintenance of equipment related to grounds
Salary: $25.41 per hour plus 11% in lieu of benefits. This position falls within the CUPE Local 382 bargaining unit.
