REGULATION 7530

ACCEPTANCE OF COMPLETED PROJECTS

The architect shall notify the School Plant Manager or their delegate when the contractor indicates a construction project is substantially complete. The architect and the Supervisor of Construction shall inspect the project and if in their opinion, the project is substantially complete within the meaning of the Mechanic’s Lien Act, and ready for occupancy, a certificate of Substantial Completion will be issued to the Board. Such certificate shall bear the signatures of the architects, Supervisor of Construction and the Contractor, and shall be dated to establish the beginning of the lien period.
