CLASS SIZE

I.   Kindergarten

1. The class size limit for a Kindergarten class is 22 students (this includes a combined Kindergarten/Primary class).

2. The district average size of Kindergarten classes, in aggregate, will not exceed 19 students.

II.   Primary (Grades 1 to 3)

1. The class size limit for a Primary class is 24 students (this includes a combined Primary/Intermediate class).

2. The district average size of Primary classes, in aggregate, will not exceed 21 students.

III.    Intermediate (Grades 4 to 7)

1. The class size limit for an Intermediate class is 30 students unless the principal of the school has obtained the consent of the teacher of that class.

2. The district average size of Intermediate classes, in aggregate, will not exceed 28 students.

IV.   Secondary (Grades 8 to 12)

1. The district average size of Secondary classes, in aggregate, will not exceed 30 students unless the principal of the school has consulted with the teacher of that class.
