REGULATION 3521.2

TREE PLANTING – ALL SCHOOLS

The Board of Trustees encourages student body involvement in tree planting programs and landscaping of school grounds.

Wherever such a proposal is considered all information as to scope, intent, methods, costs, etc. is to be submitted in writing to the School Plant Manager.

Various factors should be considered when such proposals are submitted.  This may include consideration of the site as it exists, type of proposed trees and plants, proximity to drainage system, size of tree at maturity, maintenance factors, relationship to buildings, etc.

Approved projects will receive installation assistance and direction by the grounds staff.

Where school landscaping programs have been satisfied the participation of students in other beautification projects should be encouraged.
