REGULATION 3510.2

STRAY ANIMALS IN SCHOOLS

 

Except as authorized under Regulation 6163.6, the keeping of animals in schools is not permitted. Should stray animals be found, the following should apply:

1. The principal shall make an attempt to locate the owner of the intruding animal so that it can be removed from the premises.

2. The custodian or their delegate will assess the situation and call for the services of the S.P.C.A., the appropriate Pound, or the Police Department, for removal of the animal.
