Victor School’s playground receives new rubber surface to improve playtime for students with limited mobility

Victor School celebrated the grand re-opening of their playground this week.

The playground has been updated with a brand new rubber surface, which improves mobility for students in wheelchairs, standers, walkers, etc., and provides a soft landing surface for children as they use the slide and other raised equipment. The surface is dynamically designed to provide interesting waypoints and learning centres for children as they move about the playground.

The total cost of the project was $70,000. The school received a $20,000 grant from the Tire Stewardship BC Association.
