Board Meeting Highlights – December 2019

Committee Chair Selection

An election was called for the positions of Chair for the two Standing Committees; the Education Policy and Directions Committee and the Operations Policy and Planning Committee.

Trustee Nicole Duncan was re-elected as the Chair of the Education Policy and Directions Committee. Elaine Leonard was elected as the Chair of the Operations Policy and Planning Committee.

Budget 2020-21 Plan

The Secretary-Treasurer presented the revised budget plan for the upcoming school year. Beginning in January, the District will embark on intentional engagement of students, staff, parents and union partners to build understanding and context, inform budget allocation, and improve opportunities for all students’ success.

The District invites the public to monitor the link below for upcoming opportunities like student symposium, Talking Tables dinner meeting, and online opportunities for input. Trustees look forward to a comprehensive, highly engaged budget process for the 2020-2021 school year.
