Regular meetings take place in the Tolmie Board Room at 556 Boleskine Road, at 6:30 p.m., unless otherwise advertised, and are open to the public and media, whose attendance is both welcome and encouraged.

Board of Education Meeting Participation

Presentations to the Board

Individuals or groups wishing to make a presentation to the Board must fill out and email the Request for Presentation to the Greater Victoria School District and any written materials to presentations@sd61.bc.ca by noon on the Wednesday prior to the Board meeting at which they wish to speak. If you require assistance filing out the form please email presentations@sd61.bc.ca or call 250-475-4117.

Presentations to the Board are limited to five minutes for each individual with a limit to three speakers per issue. Lengthier briefings will be accepted in writing for the Board’s consideration. The Official Trustee may only ask questions of clarification to the presenter. There will be no debate with the Official Trustee. Question Period

During Board meetings, the public may submit questions to questionperiod@sd61.bc.ca at the beginning of the meeting. These questions will be answered during the Question Period by the Chair of the meeting, or staff, through the Chair, if an answer is readily available.
