Board Meeting Highlights – April 23, 2019

The Cooper Smith Music Library relocates
The Cooper Smith Library has a new place to call home. The library moved from its former location in S.J. Willis in December to Rockheights Middle School. After months of preparation, the library is opening its doors to the school community. The Cooper Smith Music Library volunteers gave a special thank you to CUPE 947 staff for helping with the move and set up.

2019/2020 Five Year Capital Plan

The Board of Education adopted a Capital Bylaw for the approved 2019/2020 Five-Year Capital Plan. The Ministry of Education approved capital funding for the following major projects:

·         Universally accessible playground equipment for Braefoot and Eagle View Elementary
·         New boiler, energy and building upgrades at Richmond Elementary
·         Window upgrades for Mount Douglas Secondary
·         Floor upgrades for Lansdowne Middle School
·         Bussing

2019/2020 School Calendar
