School Resources to Support Climate Action Initiatives

Seed libraries are sharing resources for your school to promote seed-saving, enhance local biodiversity, and educate students and families about food production.
Ready Step RollPartner with the Capital Regional District to encourage the school community to walk, bike, roll, take the bus, or carpool to/from school.

Families donate new or lightly used children’s clothing so other families can find items that their child could use.
Sweater DayStudents and staff wear sweaters to school as the heat gets turned down a little bit for one day, showcasing how a small action can have a big impact on our carbon footprint.

Students design stickers for their school’s light switch covers that encourage the school community to turn off the lights when rooms are not in use.
