Budget Approved for 2025-26 School Year

The Official Trustee of the Greater Victoria School District conducted all three readings of the 2025-2026 Budget Bylaw last night on Tuesday, April 8, approving the $331 million budget for the upcoming school year.

The Board is utilizing a projected $3.6 million surplus from the prior year and current year and implementing one-time and permanent budget adjustments of $1.5 million to offset the $5.1 million structural deficit and balance the budget.

Through an online survey, our community can provide feedback on the 2025-2026 Budget Development Process.

The survey closes on April 23, 2025 at 4:00pm. Feedback from the survey will be included in the agenda package for the in-person April 29, 2025 Board Meeting and incorporated into the development of the budget process for the 2026-2027 school year.
