ADMINISTRATIVE REGULATION 2211.15

INVOLVEMENT OF PARENTS IN THE SELECTION OF ADMINISTRATORS

BACKGROUND

In January of each year, the Assistant Superintendent (Personnel) will convene a meeting of the executive of the District Parents’ Advisory Committee and Senior Administrators to discuss:

a) the process of selection placement and transfer
b) the qualities of principalship
c) the particular needs of the District.

PROCEDURES

1. The outcomes of this meeting will be disseminated to trustees and senior administrators and all principals.

2. Each principal, working with the Community Relations Coordinator, will be requested to undertake a similar process for their educational community.

3. The outcomes of the local meeting will be forwarded to the Board’s Personnel Committee for reference and to the senior administrators for guidance in placement and transfer.
