Angie is a science teacher with two children. For the last five years she’s been at home with them; during that time she served as vice president of their non-profit, coop preschool. Now that Angie’s youngest is in kindergarten, she wants to continue being involved in their education in a meaningful way.
As a school trustee, Angie will be able to advocate for children and families in her community, helping ensure that the needs of local families are prioritized in the school district. Her goal as trustee is to increase communication and collaboration between the board and the local community, especially parents and teachers. We need to ensure that our education system is working for all our children, regardless of their backgrounds or needs; it is only through collaboration that we can reach that goal. Together.
