Quadra Elementary Ukulele Club

The Ukulele Club currently meets on Wednesdays during the lunch recess at 12:10pm. Ukuleles

Enthusiastic students already learning ukulele in their general music classes are encouraged to join the Ukulele Club. This club meets once a week and is intended to be a fun time for keen students to learn and play together. The songs and activities build on skills learned during the general ukulele classes.

Every year, the Ukulele Club performs at a variety of school and community events including several Quadra Elementary concerts/assemblies and events such as the Parents Appreciation Tea and Quadra Village Days.

Students in Ukulele Club are not required to have their own instruments; however, having their own instrument makes it possible for them to practice at home which is beneficial. Students who have their own ukuleles are encouraged to bring them to rehearsals whenever possible.

Students also have the option of joining the district ukulele ensemble "Island Ukuleles". Please have a look at their website and contact the school music teacher if you would like further information about this ensemble. Picture of Ukulele Club Members 2008
