The first day of school for students in grades one to five is September 7th, 2010. Students entering kindergarten begin on September 9th. Please refer to the letter sent home in June for specific details on the first day schedule for kindergarten students.

Please note that our hours have changed slightly for the coming year. The new times for all students, including kindergarten, are: Monday to Friday, 8:40 am to 2:43 pm.

École Quadra School is a vibrant, diverse community of learners. Our mission statement—to meet the needs of all students within a safe and caring environment—is played out every day as we strive to provide the best education possible for your children.

We are very proud of the programs offered at Quadra. In addition to a broad curriculum in both English and French, students are offered introductory experiences in many sports (cross-country, soccer, basketball, and track) and in Fine Arts (performances by professional groups, specialized music instruction for all grades, strings program for intermediate students). In addition, we have a strong learning support team that includes a unique First Nations program for cultural awareness and academic assistance.

We look forward to an exciting year ahead. Please consider becoming involved as much as possible in your child's learning experiences. We will all benefit by working together.
