Halloween Costumes
Please keep all Halloween costumes at home for Halloween night!
Oaklands makes great efforts to weave special events that impact students and families into the everyday curriculum at school. Halloween is one theme that teachers can choose to use in Language Arts, Math, Science, etc. It makes learning interesting and fun!
In an effort to keep the focus on learning through this Halloween time of the year, Oaklands staff and administration ask that you ensure that your child does not wear their Halloween costume to school. Costumes often create difficulties in a school environment as accidental damage to costumes can occur, elevated emotions distract students from their learning, and some students feel left out due to a variety of reasons. In advance, thank you for your understanding!
