It was a weekend of exciting basketball at the Maverick Invitational.  The final came down to a rubber match between Glanford and the Pacific Christian Pacers.  Having split their previous two games this season, this thrilling, hard-fought battle went to our Mavericks, 43--35.  The Bayside Sharks beat The Clayburn Cougars from Abbotsford for 3rd and 4th and the quartet of Upper Island teams, Mark R. Isfeld from Courtenay, Cedar, AW Neill from Alberni and Qualicum Beach finished 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th respectively.
