Kindergarten Registration Information

Registration for students who will turn five before December 31, 2012 will take place from January 30th to February 3rd, 2012 at all School District #61 schools. When registering your child, please remember to bring your child's birth certificate or passport and proof of residency (phone bill, hydro bill, etc.). If you are a Landed Immigrant, please bring your child's Landed Immigrant papers as well as both parents' landed immigrant papers. We will make copies for our files here at the school. Registrations are filed by time, date and priority.

Parents are asked to register their child at their catchment school during this week. To determine your catchment school, either go to our school locator on our district website at http://www.sd61.bc.ca/html/catchments.html#locator or call the district board office at 250-475-3212. However, if you already have children enrolled at Frank Hobbs, the kindergarten sibling is automatically considered in the Frank Hobbs catchment area and can be enrolled at Frank Hobbs; no student transfer application is needed.

If you would like your child to attend a school other than your catchment school, please request a Student Transfer Application form (please see "K - 12 The Student Transfer Process" for more information) at your catchment school when you are registering. Students who live outside School District #61 may register at Frank Hobbs during this week but must also fill out a Student Transfer Application form.
