CALLBACK AND STUDENT SAFE ARRIVAL PROGRAM Parents should phone
in to the answering machine after 4:30 p.m. the previous night or by 8:30 a.m.
(477-3392). Attendance is checked first thing in the morning. Parent volunteers
will phone families if there is a concern about the safe arrival of a child. Please
assist us with your child’s safety by getting your child to school on time
and by providing correct phone numbers and a contact number. Please send a note
if your child is leaving the school during normal school hours, will not be returning
following an appointment, or will be late the next day.
STUDENT DROP OFF/PICK-UP In the morning, parents are requested
to drive slowly in a single line and “stop and drop” students in the
drive-through as their cars reach the front entrance area. After school, if your
child is not ready for pick-up, please keep driving slowly through the round about
until your child arrives. Please park your car off site as school lot parking
is for staff only.
PARENT DRIVER INFORMATION Board Policy requires that before
children are driven by anyone a completed Volunteer Driver Form, a copy of the
current vehicle insurance (with minimum $1,000,000 liability) and driver’s
license MUST be on file in the school office. A child cannot ride in the front
seat where an airbag is used. All students in K-1 are required to be
in a booster seat for all field trips.
CAPITAL REGION DISTRICT BYLAW NO. 2400 This means there is
