Principal's Message
Cloverdale Traditional School is into its third year of operation and my first year here as Principal. I am delighted to be the Principal and look forward to getting to know the individuals who are part of this community. Each person, child and adult is an important part of the school. Working on our own can be lonely but together, we can create success for each and every one of our students.
The school is a vibrant and active learning community. As a ‘school of choice’, Cloverdale’s students come from all areas of Victoria. Our focus this year is three fold:
- To increase reading fluency and comprehension of non-fiction literature
- To improve student writing skills and enjoyment of writing
- To increase student awareness of their Social Responsibility:
- Within the school
- Within their community
- Within their country
- Within the global society
Our Mission Statement says: Cloverdale Traditional School is a community of children, staff and parents whose aim is to inspire the human spirit through achievement in citizenship, intellectual development and creative expression. We are working together to make these words come to life within the walls of the building. We are living them. They are not just words on paper. The Cloverdale Traditional School Community is excited about the future as we continue to develop our identity. We are on a journey (students, parents and staff) that is creating close working relationships that benefit all members of our community. Welcome to all who choose to be part of this adventure.
