INCLEMENT WEATHER:
We are now approaching the season when inclement weather may affect the safety and welfare of students. In particular, snowy weather has the potential to cause school closure or some School District 61 services to be suspended.
During inclement weather, information about schools will be updated continuously on the Greater Victoria School District 61 website at http://www.sd61.bc.ca/.
Within the Greater Victoria School District, the Superintendent of Schools will provide media outlets with information about the status of our facilities and transportation services by 6:30 a.m.
2012-2013 New Student Registration:
We have a few positions available in Grades 2 and 5. Please contact the school office if you are interested in more information and a tour of our school.
As a School of Choice, we accept student registrations continuously. Parents are welcome to come to the school and register during office hours. You may register your child for Kindergarten anytime before their 5th birthday. Tours of the school are available. Please contact the office for arrangements.
Ready Set Learn Feb. 9th 10:30 am
Children who are 3 or 4 years of age and their parents are welcome to this event. Join us in the library. There will be activities for the students and information about preparing for school. Guests include: PAC Executive members, Health nurses, Counsellors and Public Librarians as well as school personnel.

QUADRA STREET PARKING LOT:
Thank you to Cst. Drew for joining the school admininistration team on January 4th in the staff parking lot. The purpose was to remind parents that the lot is for staff parking only. Student drop off and pick up is to take place behind the school on Linwood Street. Thank you for your support.
EARTHQUAKE COMFORT KIT:
We now have 25% of our students equipped with an Earthquake Comfort Kit. The Comfort Kit is a ziplock bag that contains a letter, family photo and other items that we can provide your child in the event of an emergency when parents may be delayed in picking up their children. The Comfort Kit will be stored in the classroom Earthquake kits. Thank you to parents for sending these to school and to the Earthquake Committee for organzing our earthquake prepareness.
Afterschool Pickup
Supervision for students is provided for fifteen minutes before and fifteen minutes after school hours.
Students who have not been picked up at their exits are to wait for their parents at the flag pole. After the fifteen minute supervision period (3:04pm) students will be brought into the office by the supervisor to use the telephone.

Monday through Thursday: 8:44 am – 2:52 pm
Fridays: 8:46 am – 2:52 pm
Recess is: 10:16 – 10:31
Lunch is: 11:49 – 12:49
