As the Coast Guard ships' crews travel the Arctic coastline of Canada, a variety of jobs and duties are performed. These tasks include search and rescue, navigational aid maintenance, fisheries patrol and scientific research. The college, established in 1965, is now one of the most modern marine colleges in the world offering diverse educational programs in officer training and certification.
